Generational Interns

Generational Interns is a three-year training program with a progressive training strategy, each year building upon the foundation of the previous year.

First Year

The first year is a time to develop the solid foundation in the Word of God and successful Christian living. Each morning (Monday – Thursday) is devoted to Biblical academics. The afternoons and evenings would be used for part-time jobs by those who are working, or as free study time. Internship in the first year would be on a selected basis.

Second Year

The second year builds upon the first with more specific teaching and increased ministry/leadership responsibility. As ministry interns, the focus will be on developing the leadership principles required of a point person in one of the church’s ministry tracks.

Third Year

In the third year, the intern’s acquired leadership skills will catapult into ministry apprenticeship. A ministry apprenticeship involves the placement and commissioning of interns into our network of church ministries for continued training and leadership development. In addition, this final year will be entirely devoted to Ministry Internship and training in the student’s chosen calling. The student will participate in student-teaching as an “Upper Classperson,” as well as some mentoring of other students.

As the intern progresses God will bring a “sure Word,” i.e. “this is the way, walk ye in it.” In other words, a gifting and calling will become manifest. Some interns will remain at CLFC in various ministry positions, while others will return to their home church. Because CLFC is an apostolic church, some will establish ministries under the cover of CLFC.
